Comfy Item of the Day

If you're anything like me, then you are a creature of comfort. It also means you have a crazy obsession with Ryan Gosling's abs, but that's irrelevant to the task at hand. Being a creature of comfort, I look for a few things in clothing that will achieve ultimate comfort while not sacrificing on cuteness. These include fabric softness, weight, and fit. Enter this sweater from ASOS; it's a loose-fitting texture knot that won't hang too heavy on your body. This makes for the perfect year round sweater! Pair it with a light skirt in the summer, and switch it up come Fall with a button-down underneath and some dark tights. I bet it even looks great loosely tucked in! Perfection.

Summery Item of the Day

Oh, hello cuteness. No, not you. The cardigan. Although I'm sure you're cute too, and I'm not just saying that to retain your readership. In fact, I am sure that this cardigan is so freaking cute and adorable and perfect for summer, that it will make you want to come back here just to see what I post next. The tight sleeves and the looser, drape-y fit, the fresh light/dark ombre contrast, and the floral design make for a highly feminine and romantic piece that would look great over any maxi dress, work outfit, or what-have-you ensemble.

Daring Item of the Day

OK, so before I get thrown blows for this top, know that this is for some of the less conservative ladies-- I wouldn't post something though that I know my readers won't like, so while this may not apply to everyone, I think many of you will still be interested. This sheer top blouse is a bit more revealing than halachically allowed, but I think that depending on comfort level, this top can totally work. Additionally, if you do totally love it but are not a fan of the sheer, I recommend wearing a thin shell underneath. you can't deny how adorable this top is!

Lace Item of the Day

A lace blazer? Yes! It's rue! This ultra feminine white blazer is the ultimate in the summer coverup. Wear it with fancy clothes to shul, or profesh this up by wearing it to work with a great pencil skirt. Make it casual with a maxi dress or a cute summer dress underneath, and you've got all your bases covered for summer! I love this for every and any outfit you've got, so make sure you get a blazer just like this! Simply love love love!

Colorful Item of the Day

OK, so I know I never post items that are outrageously expensive, but today's item is not one of them. This pricey top from Alice and Olivia was too adorbs to pass up though! It's business in the front and party peplum in the back! I know many and most of you will not buy this top because of it's price but here are your options: a) wait till it goes on sale, b) sell your first born child, c) use it as an example and buy one like it, d) make it yourself. Good luck with all of those options seeing as a) brand names never go one sale, b) first born children are kind of a big deal to most people, c) knockoffs have the potential to be made poorly, and d) if you can make it yourself, you are already rich for charging almost $300 for a top, in which case you can afford this no problem. I know what you're thinking-- what would you do without me, right?

Button Down Item of the Day

That's right! I'm back! I would like to say I am better than ever, but alas, jet lag is a bummer, so if this post is not exactly coherent, it's not my fault. My last Piperlime item post seemed to be a resounding success with 5 different people contacting me to tell me they bought the item and loved it, so I figured why not try again. This blouse it summer fresh and cool, but can even work for the later Fall months as well. It's light but structured, and the print is cute but subtle. This is totally work appropriate tucked in to a skirt, but untuck it after along day for a more casual and loose feel. Plus, it's only 50 bucks! Love it!

Yellow Item of the Day

This super sweet lemony cardigan is one of those adorable items I am always saying you should throw over the other adorable items I post about. Got a dress or a top that is sans sleeves? Voila!-- a yellow cardigan that will rectify the problemo with ease. Plus, the frilly feminine lace detail will make for an extra dose of summer fashion fierceness. There are several things (among many others!) that you should never underestimate when it comes to fashion, two of which are relevant to this post: 1) simplicity-- less is more (with everything; that includes less skin, less business, etc.) 2) the power of yellow. Exhibit A: The Sun  3) the need for the perfect heel. Just FYI, I have found it. Stay tuned for that post.

Colorful Item of the Day

Well hello perfection. This adorable top from Lulu*s is so on trend and perfect for spring and summer. There is not a single thing I dislike about this top except that it's not currently in my possession right now. As I have been highlighting in past posts, this pastel theme is not going away anytime soon, so this top hits all the right, colorful notes. Pair it with a pink pastel pencil skirt for the ultimate in cuteness, or tone it down with a more neutral colored skirt. Either way, embrace the trend and fall in love with this top!

Stuff and Save Item of the Day

Happy stuff and save time! I know you have all undoubtedly got the coupon in the mail for the Old Navy stuff and save hoopla, so make sure you stop by there to pick up all your basics and faves. I love shopping at ON because their stuff is seasonal and comfy. I have been searching for a basic, casual, collarless button down in Navy for a while now, so when I saw the one below, I knew it was exactly the basic top I needed. I love buying cheap clothing and pairing it with some of my more expensive piece, and Old Navy is perfect at providing the basic layers to build up a fabulous outfit!

Chambray Item of the Day

I LOVE when I find shirts that go with anything and everything! Denim does the trick everytime, only mostly it's the bottom that's denim and a top that we're looking ot have match everything else. Not anymore! This modest top from J. Crew (a bit expensive, but wait till it goes on sale and you have a coupon) is the ultimate top, because it will match any skirt you have-- black, white, coral, green-- any it will flatter SO many figures because it's a loose fitting, wide neck shirt. Plus, it's such a clean palette, that you can accessorize with so many different types of jewelry and accessories.  Finally, you can get use out of all those everyday skirts that are not denim!

Pink Item of the Day

Gotta love these romantical items that totally take the cake in the girly-girl department. This top from Ruche is so super adorable and it's kind of a basic. It's only 37 dollars (!) and it has a wear-everywhere feel. I mean, how wrong can you go with just a plain pink top (with adorable details, of course--I especially love the scalloped edging on the hem of the shirt), and it's a great, airy top as we head into the summer.

Ruffle Item of the Day

Romance, Frills, Whimsy. Those are all the things I think about when I see ruffles on clothing. This tasteful top from LOFT would look so adorable under a cardigan or even over a white kikiriki top. The ombre effect is fabulous and the colors are perfect for anyone who is female. Not to mention, it would certainly cover up the hefty meal from last night's seder with ease-- the ruffles will hide a multitude of sins. It would look so perfect with a full skirt on bottom, PERFECT for spring!
Disclaimer: It's sold out online, but it is still available in stores (because I saw it there)

Lace Item of the Day

Yay, lace! One of the official fabrics of warm weather, lace is the ultimate in romantic and feminine, and this top from Mango is three-quarter sleeve cuteness for the holiday season. I'm always a bit wary of white lace in everyday fashion, at the risk of looking slightly bridal in a non-bridal world, but this top seems casual enough to break that mold. The pinkier version of the blouse is perfect though, especially as one of those pieces that will be fancier for shul in the morning, and then change into a more casual skirt in the afternoon; one piece worn two ways. I think Jessica Simpson calls that a "twofer"!

I Do! Modest Brides and Bridesmaids-- or Just Your Average Frummie

Happy do-da day, Ruche just released their Wedding Collection! Now, I'm not a bride, but I am ever the bridesmaid, so this does make me happy in ways it probably shouldn't. Ruche is geared toward the vintage-y bride, but there is no reason this bridesmaid can't revel in a little vintage-y-bride action, especially since their stuff is versatile enough for the everyday woman! Here's a taste of what they have to offer, but make sure you go check out their entire "To Have and To Hold" Collection!

I especially LOVE this Audrey Dress, which is as modest and can be! It is a bit pricey, but I think it's fabulous from start to finish, and you definitely don't have to be a bride to wear it! I happen to find that for the frummie contingent, this collection is more 'engagement party' than it is wedding, but awesome nonetheless!

Add these amazing sash belts (which I just bought) for a touch of class! They are perfect for any dress, not just the Audrey dress!

Looking for a cover up? What frummie isn't?? try some of these, which are super girly and feminine, and perfect for all your Pesach outfits!

Don't forget some perfect-for-spring head-wear! Some of these headbands are so fascinating and beautiful, that if you dare to pull them off, you will be the envy of ladies everywhere. You definitely don't need to be a bride to pull these stunners off!

Peach Item of the Day

My lord, this weather! I cannot have imagined a more perfect winter, and this is the perfect weather for the start of a very beautiful spring! This makes for a very happy fashion blogger, because spring fashion is the ultimate; the colors, the fabrics, the textures, oh my! This peach three-quarter sleeve top from Zara is the most refreshing piece for a any outfit; it's in a light, breezy fabric, and can totally be dressed up or down. Take any black skirt and instantly spring-ify it with this top. Plus, peach happens to be one of the most flattering colors on all skin tones, so you are bound to look stunning!
